The Department of School Education and Literacy, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC) is organizing a Two-day “Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE)” for District Education Officers and DIET Members.
The objective of this workshop is to enhance the skills of district-level officials in the areas of innovation, creativity, design thinking, and entrepreneurship, in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
This bootcamp is being organized in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, renowned for its support of entrepreneurship education.
The Phase-3 of Capacity Building Workshop on IDE is scheduled on 20th & 21st November 2025 at National Institute of Technology Agartala, West Tripura, Tripura.
Prof. Sitharam T.G., Chairman, AICTE, Shri Dheeraj Sahu, Additional Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, and Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman, AICTE, jointly inaugurated the Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE)” for District Education Officers and DIET Members at 25 States and 2 UTs on 30th October 2025.
State Level Inauguration at National Institute of Technology Agartala was inaugurated by the Honourable Smt. Harshita Biswas, TCS, Joint Director, Elementary Education, Govt. of Tripura, Professor Sarat Kumar Patra Director of NIT Agartala, Shri. Vikas Verma, Managing Editor, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, AICTE, Govt. of India, Shri. Nandajit Rabha, Regional Coordinator, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, AICTE, Govt. of India, Smt. Geetha Sanjay, Master Trainer, Wadhwani Foundation, New Delhi Ms. Lavanya Gopal, Founder-Lineup (IDEEZ Career Private Limited), Trainer, Wadhwani Foundation, New Delhi and department along with senior officials from the HEls and over 60 + District Education Officers, DIET Members participated and Inspector of Schools.
The event promises a series of group activities, immersive working sessions, and engaging workshops, all tailored to ignite creativity and problem-solving skills. With an emphasis on fostering collaboration and interactive learning, participants will explore into the “why,” “what,” and “how” of innovation. Throughout the program, attendees will gain valuable insights into the significance of innovation in education, uncover practical strategies for driving change, and harness the power of entrepreneurial thinking.
